Our Purpose

The Kauai Aloha Endowment, a component fund of Hawaii Community Foundation, was established to insure that resources will forever be available to preserve that which we most cherish about Kauai: her natural beauty, culture and the spirit of her people.

Participation

Kauai—the island, the people, the lifestyle and its spirit of Aloha—has a way of touching the hearts of residents and visitors alike. Kauai provides to individuals a unique experience, one they consider very special. Many residents, despite economic challenges, would never leave. Some visitors are so inspired by the island that they return to take up residence. For others it is "heaven away from home" to which they come back again and again. If you are one who deeply loves Kauai and treasures its natural beauty, people, culture and Aloha, the Kauai Aloha Endowment provides a way to express your gratitude, your heartfelt "mahalo" to this magical tropical island.

Golden Age of Philanthropy

The period 2000-2055 is unique in the United States and is being called the "golden age of philanthropy." This is because an unprecedented sum will be given to charity over these years—as much as $25 trillion in bequests alone plus trillions more through an increase in new venture philanthropy. Kauai will share in this legacy.
