Kaua`i is an island that demands superlatives. Her oceans, bordered by endless miles of golden sandy beaches, are more jewel-like that any of her sister islands. Kaua`i was the first to be discovered by Captain James Cook, and the last to yield to foreign dominance. Only on Kaua`i does the fragrant mokihana berry grow. This is where the legendary little people, the Menehune, flourished and performed their magic. In so many ways, we are unique! As newcomers to this special place, we are welcomed and embraced by the spirit of Aloha; we are invited to nestle among the warm smiles and to be captivated by the graciousness of our golden people. Our Purpose The Kaua'i Aloha Endowment, in collaboration with Hawai'i Community Foundation, was established to insure that resources will forever be available to preserve that which we most cherish about Kaua'i: her natural beauty, culture and the spirit of her people. Our Vision To Protect, Preserve and Enhance Kaua'i's Island Treasures...
