October - December 2003 Progress Report
A Message from Our Mayor Bryan J. Baptiste
February 27, 2004
Aloha! The Garden Island of Kaua`i is a truly special place. Residents are fortunate to call this island “home” and visitors from all over the world look forward to their Kaua`i vacations.
Maintaining Kaua`i as the gem that it is requires the preservation of its beauty and culture. The Kaua`i Aloha Endowment strives to promote the aloha spirit of our people and invest resources to benefit the Kaua`i community today, tomorrow and forever. But we must all recognize the treasure we have in Kaua`i and do our part to perpetuate its glory.
On behalf of the County of Kaua`i, mahalo for your contribution ‘To Protect, Preserve and Enhance Kaua`i’s Island Treasures... Today, Tomorrow and Forever.’
Aloha pumehana,

Holiday Craft Fair. Our Holiday Craft Fair, held on December 6th in collaboration with Hanalei Elementary School, brought together over 12 individuals and businesses to showcase their handcrafted gift items. A portion of the exhibit fees paid to Kaua`i Aloha Endowment was donated to the school’s technical department.
Mahalo to the four volunteers who made this event a positive, community-based project: Barbara Musella, Sandra Wright, Barbara Smith and Michele Williams.
It is our hope to continue with future projects that share the Aloha spirit and engage our mutual creativity, energy and resources. This effort continues to preserve and enhance our island home.
